"According to the state Civil Defense, at least five deaths have been confirmed so far and 130 people have been injured," the material says.

According to the TV channel, the cyclone is associated with a cold front, with wind gusts of more than 100 km/h in states such as Rio Grande do Sul, Santa Catarina and Sao Paulo. In addition, the wind that struck the city of Rio Bonito do Iguazu in some areas reached more than 250 km/h. At the same time, the hurricane may move, affecting the coast of Rio de Janeiro and Espiritu Santo.

Local authorities urged residents to avoid open areas, not to stand under trees and wiring due to the risk of strong gusts of wind and demolition of structures.
