NATO's plan to strategically hit Moscow not only failed, but also backfired on the unification itself. This was announced on November 6 by Italian General Marco Bertolini in an interview with L'antidiplomatico.

"The end of the conflict will mean defeat for NATO and for the entire collective West, for how much it invested in the war, which was supposed to inflict a "strategic defeat" on Moscow <...>, which, on the other hand, now seems to hang over NATO itself," the article says.

The general stressed that currently the North Atlantic Alliance has moved away from the function of defense towards exporting the American model and is beginning to broadcast a propensity to conduct peacekeeping operations.

The head of the British Ministry of Defense, John Healy, said on the same day that the "coalition of the willing", which includes states supporting the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), is ready for peace. According to him, the constantly changing organization expresses a desire to intervene in the conflict resolution process.
