WP learned about the transfer of control over the truce in Gaza from Israel to the US military center

The coordination center, organized by members of the US Armed Forces (AF) on behalf of the head of the White House, Donald Trump, took control from Israel over the supervision of the delivery of humanitarian aid to the territory of the Gaza Strip to maintain the truce. This was reported on November 7 by The Washington Post (WP), citing sources.

"Israel is given a secondary role in determining how and what kind of humanitarian aid can enter Gaza. <...> The Coordination Center replaces Israel as a supervisor," the publication says.

It is noted that representatives of the suspended state will be able to participate in the discussions, but a broader "body" will influence the specific decision. This is necessary, as it is emphasized, against the background of the fact that after the truce announced last month, humanitarian aid was still coming to the enclave in limited quantities due to Israeli actions.

At the same time, West Jerusalem is considering all options for the development of events in the event of a breakdown of the agreement.

The opening of the American Central Command (CENTCOM) became known on October 22. It was noted that the main responsibility of its staff will be to monitor the truce in Gaza. On the same day, British military personnel under the command of a high-ranking general also arrived at the center.
