Trump announced the preservation of the US military presence in Europe

When the deployment of the US military in Europe changes, their total number on the continent remains. This was announced on November 7 by US President Donald Trump.

"We are making changes, moving troops. The total number remains the same, but we are changing the location," the American leader said during a meeting with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban.

Pentagon Chief Pete Hegseth added that troops do not change their location without coordination with the White House.

"All this is part of our common view of Europe. The troops will remain in Romania, the rotation order will simply change," he explained.

Earlier, on October 1, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the US Armed Forces Dan Kane, in an address to the military leadership, stressed the need to prepare the army for possible military action. Also on August 24, the US authorities decided to withdraw their troops from the Ain al-Assad and Victoria military bases in Iraq, as well as accelerate the process of withdrawing forces from the country.
