What is known about the crash
The Ka226 helicopter of Concern KEMZ JSC crashed on November 7 at 15:10 Moscow time. The aircraft was flying from Kizlyar to Izberbash and crashed near the village of Achi-Su. There were seven people on board, including crew members and passengers.
According to preliminary information, the pilots were trying to make an emergency landing on the coastline. The helicopter hit a private uninhabited house during the fall. Rescuers immediately began evacuating the injured.
A preliminary investigation suggested that a technical malfunction could have been the cause of the crash. Later, the emergency services clarified that the helicopter crash was caused by an engine fire in flight. Flight recorders were found at the helicopter crash site.
What are the consequences of the disaster
On board the Ka-226 helicopter that crashed in Dagestan were employees of the Kizlyar Electromechanical Plant, who were on a working trip to the Sunny Beach recreation center. Four of them died.
Among the victims is the son of the director of the enterprise, Akhmat Akhmatov, with burns of 35% of his body, as well as two other employees: one with burns of 20% of the body surface and bruises, the other with burns of 100%.

The Federal Air Transport Agency classified the incident as a disaster.
