A new version of the Valdai 12 truck was introduced in Russia
The Valdai 12 medium-tonnage truck was presented in a new modification, based on a tow truck designed for intensive work in urban conditions. This is stated in the message of the Modern Transport Technologies company (distributor of the GAZ Group), which was received by Izvestia on November 7.
The model was built with the Nizhny Novgorod company Smarteco-NN on a Valdai 12 chassis with a 4x4 wheel formula and a diesel engine. The truck is equipped with a 5950 mm long sliding platform with a hydraulic system, a lentil anti-slip coating, six mounting points and a set of fasteners for transported vehicles. The design includes a winch with a lifting capacity of 4 tons, rear outriggers, work area lights and a magnetically mounted beacon.
The vehicle is equipped with a crane arm with three telescopic sections with a maximum reach of 10 meters. Control is duplicated on both sides of the installation. The safety system provides overload protection, load retention valves and a roll gauge, an emergency hydraulic shutdown system and automatic lubrication of the winch cable. The platform is made using galvanized elements and with flooring.
The car is equipped with a 170 hp YaMZ-534 diesel engine and a 6-speed manual transmission. The gross weight of the Valdai 12 truck does not exceed 12 tons, which eliminates the need for its registration in the Platon system. The model is offered in four wheelbase variants and with various configurations of add-ons.
Prior to that, on September 19, a new Valdai 12 cargo modification was introduced in Russia. The special equipment is built on a chassis with an extra-long wheelbase and has a Euro platform that allows loading 20 standard Euro pallets.
