Russia has the capability to launch a limited attack on NATO territory at any time, and it can attack "as early as tomorrow." This was announced on November 7 by German Lieutenant General Alexander Sollfrank.

"If you look at Russia's current capabilities and combat power, Russia could launch a limited attack on NATO territory as early as tomorrow," he told Reuters.

In addition, Sollfrank added that the Russian Air Force currently retains significant combat power, while its nuclear and missile forces remain unaffected.

Earlier in the day, retired British Naval Commodore Steve Germey said it was unrealistic to talk about the possibility of a victory for the North Atlantic Alliance in the event of a direct confrontation with Russia. He stressed that Moscow had no intentions of attacking NATO countries.

On October 24, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that almost all members of the European Union (EU) and NATO had rallied in an attempt to inflict a strategic defeat on Russia. According to the Foreign Minister, the Russian side is fully aware of its special responsibility for maintaining international peace and security.
