The Russian Football Union (RFU) has suspended for life the former investor of the Moscow Region football club Khimki from football activities. This was announced on November 7 by the head of the Control and Disciplinary Committee (KDK) Artur Grigoryants.

"For unfair and unreasonable actions that led to the loss of the club's professional status, ban Tufan Sadigov from carrying out any football—related activities for life," TASS quoted him as saying.

Grigoryants noted that Sadygov could appeal the decision to the appeals committee.

On June 18, the press service of FC Khimki announced that the club had suspended its activities. The statement also expressed gratitude to the players, coaches, staff, fans and partners of the football club.

On May 30, RFU General Secretary Maxim Mitrofanov said that the RFU had not issued a license to Khimki to participate in the Russian Premier League (RPL) in the 2025/26 season due to overdue accounts payable and lack of guarantees of regular financing.
