A fake laser weapon was sold to a mercenary from the United States in Kiev for $85 thousand.

Ukrainians deceived an American volunteer for more than $85,000 by offering him a non-existent laser weapon against drones. This was announced on November 7 at the office of the country's Prosecutor General.

According to the investigation, a 74-year-old resident of Kiev and his 59-year-old accomplice called themselves "weapon developers" and assured the American that they could create a "laser device" that could destroy drones and missiles.
