The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) have attacked energy infrastructure facilities in the border areas of the Kursk region. As a result of the attack, about 17,000 consumers were left without electricity. This was announced on November 7 by the governor of the region, Alexander Khinstein, in his Telegram channel.

According to the head of the region, "the enemy has again viciously attacked energy facilities," which is why power outages have been recorded in Rylsk and its suburbs.

"About 17,000 consumers in the Glushkovsky, Rylsky and Korenevsky districts were left without electricity," Khinstein said.

He added that emergency services would begin recovery work "as soon as the situation permits." The governor also said that increased activity of Ukrainian drones has been observed in Rylsk since early morning. As a result of one of the drones hitting a private household, a fence and a car were damaged.

In addition, according to the head of the region, the activity of drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was noted in Nikolnikovsky, Malogeushevsky, Oktyabrsky village councils, as well as in settlements of the Belovsky district.

The day before, in the Kursk region, a 60-year-old man was injured by a Ukrainian drone strike on a milk truck. According to Khinstein, the wounded man was taken to the central district hospital (CRH).
