- An exhibition of military equipment dedicated to the anniversary of the 1941 parade opened on Red Square.
In honor of the 84th anniversary of the legendary parade on November 7, 1941, a large-scale exhibition of military equipment from the Great Patriotic War opened on Red Square in Moscow. The frames of the exposition are published by Izvestia.
"This year [the museum] is called the "City of Living Stories." We talk about our Muscovites, about our military dynasties, those who fought back then, whose sons fought on, for example, in Afghanistan, and just the grandchildren are now heroes or participants in a special military operation. In other words, we are talking about those who forged and are forging that very victory for Moscow both in those years and now," said Ekaterina Dragunova, chairman of the Committee on Public Relations and Youth Policy of the capital.
The exhibition includes ten thematic zones with audio guides. In its center is a map of Moscow in 1941 with evacuation routes. The exhibition features a ZIS-5 truck, GAZ-AA trucks, military motorcycles, tanks and other equipment used in the battles of 1941-1945. Alexey Vershinin, a tour guide at the Vadim Zadorozhny Museum of Technology, explained that at the exhibition you can get a general idea of the technology of that period.
The museum is open from November 7-9. Admission to the exhibition is free.
