Shoigu proposed to create a new city in Siberia
On November 7, Secretary of the Russian Security Council Sergei Shoigu launched an initiative to create a satellite city of Sayanogorsk, which, according to him, could become a source of pride for Russian architects.
"It is necessary to think about this, including taking into account the fact that the city of Sayanogorsk is the base for you (business. — Ed.), for Sayano-Shushenskaya, Mainskaya HPP, for power engineers, we need to think about and see if we can make another satellite city. Something else needs to be done in this area," he said at a meeting dedicated to the development of a cluster for processing critical metals in Siberia.
Shoigu stressed that Sayanogorsk has significant potential for further development. In addition, he expressed a desire to create a project that will become the pride of not only Siberian architects, but also Russian builders.
