The Southern District Military Court found a Ukrainian citizen born in 1964 guilty of preparing to blow up the car of the head of the Zaporizhia region and terrorist attacks against Russian military personnel on the instructions of the Ukrainian special services. This was reported on November 7 in the press service of the Russian FSB Directorate for the Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol.

According to the agency, the man received from the curators the coordinates of a cache of improvised explosive devices. It was planned that he would carry out attacks on the car of the head of the Zaporizhia region and terrorist attacks against Russian military personnel. However, the attacker was detained by FSB officers in Sevastopol.

"The Southern District Military Court (Rostov-on-Don) found a Ukrainian citizen guilty and sentenced him to 10 years in prison in a high-security penal colony, as well as a fine of 300 thousand rubles," TASS reports.

Earlier, on November 6, a court sentenced Alexander Zhigun, a resident of the Stavropol Territory, to 20 years in prison for preparing a terrorist attack in the local customs building. It was clarified that the man had agreed with the supervisor on the location of the terrorist act — the explosion and arson of the customs building.
