The Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Trans-Baikal Territory has been placed on high alert due to bad weather. Heavy snow and wind are expected in the region.

According to forecasts, unfavorable conditions will set in the evening on November 7 and during the day on November 8. According to the ChitaMedia news agency, the wind speed will reach 15-20 m/s. A sharp drop in temperature of 10 degrees or more is expected. Heavy snowfall causes rolling, drifts and icy conditions on the roads.

The bad weather will gradually spread from the west to the central and southern territories. The expected amount of precipitation will be up to 9 mm. Special attention will be paid to the condition of energy and housing facilities.

Earlier, weather forecasters warned residents of Primorsky Krai about temperature fluctuations. Night frosts of up to -16 degrees are expected in some places.
