A corporal of the Russian Armed Forces single-handedly repelled an attack by Ukrainian saboteurs

Yevgeny Zatonsky, a corporal in the Russian Armed Forces, discovered a sabotage and reconnaissance group of Ukrainian militants and single-handedly forced the enemy to retreat. This was announced on November 7 by the Russian Ministry of Defense.

The department clarified that the corporal was engaged in the defense of camouflaged strongholds located close to the line of contact. During combat duty, he noticed the Ukrainian saboteurs, reported this to the command and joined the battle.

"By quickly changing positions, Evgeny Zatonsky inflicted losses on the enemy's sabotage group with targeted fire, despite their numerical superiority. As a result of the fierce battle, the Ukrainian nationalists suffered significant losses and, leaving the wounded, retreated," RIA Novosti quoted the Defense Ministry as saying.
