Venezuela thanked Russia for its help in stabilizing the conflict
On November 6, the Government of Venezuela, on behalf of President Nicolas Maduro, thanked Russia for stabilizing the conflict in the Caribbean Sea.
"The Bolivarian government, on behalf of President Nicolas Maduro, thanks fraternal Russia for its tireless efforts to condemn and de—escalate military threats in the Caribbean Sea directed directly against Venezuela, while civilians continue to suffer from the bombing of small vessels," he wrote on his Telegram channel.
The Venezuelan president also noted that the government particularly appreciates solidarity and constant interaction with Russian colleagues.
Earlier, on November 2, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov noted that Russia and Venezuela are bound by contractual obligations. According to him, Moscow does have contacts with friends from Venezuela.
On October 30, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova noted that Russia continues to support the Venezuelan leadership in protecting national sovereignty and is ready to respond to possible threats. Zakharova also stressed that the two countries will continue to work together "shoulder to shoulder."
