The calculation of the Buk-M2 air defense system intercepted HIMARS MLRS shells in the special operation zone

The calculation of the Buk-M2 anti-aircraft missile system (SAM) of the Vostok group intercepted and destroyed HIMARS multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) fired at rear positions. This was announced on November 7 by the Russian Defense Ministry.

The ministry clarified that the calculation of the radar of the air defense system during its duty detected air targets moving towards the Russian positions. After their classification, the military began to destroy them.

After the Ukrainian shells were eliminated, the crew of the combat vehicle changed its firing position and camouflaged the equipment.

The new vehicle is adapted for transporting soldiers and cargo, evacuating the wounded and installing anti-aircraft machine guns.

On November 6, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that in the Dnipropetrovsk region, crews of T-80BVM tanks of the Vostok group of forces destroyed the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Crews of T-80BVM tanks, equipped with protective lattice screens, advanced to pre-prepared lines and opened fire with high-explosive 125-millimeter shells at the main shelters, entrances to dugouts and identified firing points of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
