The United Nations Security Council (UNSC) has removed the head of Syria for the transitional period, Ahmed al-Sharaa, from the sanctions list. This was reported on November 7 by the Reuters news agency.

"The UN Security Council has lifted sanctions against Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa," the publication says.

It is clarified that restrictive measures were also lifted from the Minister of the Interior of Syria, Anas Khattab. The resolution on lifting sanctions was supported by 14 of the 15 members of the Security Council, the Chinese side abstained from voting.
