Zelensky announced new sanctions against Ukrainian citizens based in Russia.
On November 6, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky announced the introduction of new sanctions against Ukrainian citizens who work in Russia.
"I have instructed the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine to prepare new decisions against <...>...> persons with Ukrainian citizenship," Zelensky said in a video message on the Telegram channel.
Zelensky said that the activities of such individuals "should be blocked."
On October 31, Zelensky signed a decree imposing sanctions against 14 representatives of the Union of Orthodox Journalists (UOJ), as well as the First Cossack TV channel, who cover the situation around the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (UOC). It was clarified that the restrictive measures include the blocking of assets on the territory of Ukraine, the cancellation of licenses, a ban on participation in official visits and the transfer of intellectual property.
