Three Taikonauts stuck in orbit after colliding with space debris
The mission to return the Shenzhou-20 manned spacecraft was postponed due to an alleged collision of the spacecraft with small space debris. This was reported on November 5 by China Central Television (CCTV).
"To ensure the safety and health of astronauts, as well as the full success of the mission, it was decided to postpone the Shenzhou-20 mission," the statement said.
It is also clarified that an analysis of the incident and a risk assessment are currently underway.
China Central Television reported on April 24 that China had launched the Shenzhou-20 spacecraft with three taikonauts into space. The crew replaced the team of the previous Shenzhou-19 mission who had been at Tiangong station for six months.
