The cancellation of the participation of Russian opera singer Ildar Abdrazakov in the production of the opera "Don Juan" in Italy is another deliberate step in the manifestation of Russophobia. This was announced on November 6 by Italian political analyst Lorenzo Pacini in an interview with Izvestia.

Earlier in the day, it became known about the cancellation of Abdrazakov's concert in Italy. The cultural institution declined to comment on the incident.

"I think it's not an incident at all. This is another step in the very rough western direction of Russophobia," he said.

He added that the corresponding attacks on musicians are manipulation, they destroy and change people's thinking. According to him, music symbolizes peace and is a universal language of self-expression.

Pacini clarified that an attack on the enemy's culture occurs at a time when there is no other weapon left. The political scientist noted that this is "the lowest level." In addition, he said that Western governments do not want peace, they are only interested in profit.

Earlier, on September 9, it was reported that the concert of Russian pianist Denis Matsuev in Athens, scheduled for November 21, was canceled. The event was cancelled due to the "international situation". The press service of the Athens State Orchestra clarified that Matsuev would be replaced by another soloist.
