Ivanovo musician Dmitry Garkavi has died at the age of 60.

Dmitry Garkavi, the creator and artistic director of the Luminaries ensemble, died in Ivanovo at the age of 61. This was announced on November 6 by the press service of the Ivanovo State Philharmonic.

Garkavi was a poet, composer, music director and screenwriter, and also worked at the Ivanovo Philharmonic since 2006. The ensemble he created has won gold and silver prizes at international festivals many times. In addition, the musician was a laureate of the Central Federal District (CFD) in the field of literature and art.

"The farewell will take place on November 8, 2025, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.," reads a post on the VKontakte social network.
