Yalta authorities told about the preparation of road services for winter

In winter, 200 tons of sand and 35 tons of salt were harvested in Yalta for road maintenance. Almost 700 tons will be required for the season, and contracts are being executed, said Yanina Pavlenko, head of the city administration.

The road workers purchased another 100 special boxes for storing 500 liters of reagents with a dispenser. There are 58 such containers left since last year. By the end of November, they will be placed at stops, slippery steep turns and descents.

According to Pavlenko, the specialists also prepared the equipment. These are five KamAZ vehicles, two GAZ and one all-wheel drive, multifunctional UAZ Chistik, which is useful on narrow streets. A total of nine units of equipment will serve 150 km of local roads.

The Yalta branch of Krymavtodor will be responsible for another 176 km of roads. The company has already harvested 512 tons of salt and 280 tons of sand. In icy conditions, five combined vehicles, a dump truck and a loader are ready to enter the highway.

As noted by IA SevastopolMedia, on the eve of the cold weather, the equipment and the availability of anti-icing materials were checked by traffic police officers. The work of the road services is under special control.
