Vice-Speaker of the Federation Council Kosachev commented on contacts with American senators.

There was no request from the American senators to meet with their Russian counterparts. This was stated on November 6 by Deputy Speaker of the Federation Council Konstantin Kosachev, answering a question from Izvestia about the possible preparation of such a meeting at the level of representatives of the US Senate and the Federation Council.

"I don't know anything about it. I have not seen any initiatives in this regard from the Senate. Therefore, no work is being done in this context. Since we did not interrupt these contacts, it is not for us to initiate them. If something happens along the line of the lower chambers, let it happen. So far, I have not observed anything along the line of the upper chambers," he said.
