Czech President Petr Pavel has accepted the resignation of Prime Minister Petr Fiala's government and instructed his cabinet to temporarily continue its work until a new cabinet is formed. The ceremony was broadcast in Prague Castle on November 6 by the CTK news agency.

"Mr. Prime Minister, I accept the resignation of your government and at the same time instruct you to carry out your duties until the creation of a new government," the Czech leader addressed.

Thus, the cabinet of the coalition bloc "Spolu" ("Together"), consisting of the Civic Democratic Party (ODS), KDU-CSL and TOP 09, as well as the movement "STAN" will continue to work for the time being. The media notes that Pavel asked Fiala to ensure that the transfer of cases from all departments took place calmly, and the new government began working as soon as possible "for the benefit of citizens."

Earlier on November 6, the Fiala Government submitted a collective resignation letter. Negotiations on the formation of the next cabinet of ministers with the SPD (Freedom and Direct Democracy) and Motorist parties (Motoriste, United Motorists) on behalf of the head of state are being conducted by the leader of the ANO (Action of Dissatisfied Citizens) party Andrey Babish.

The ANO party led by Babis won the parliamentary elections on October 4. According to the results of counting the results at 99.55% of polling stations, the political force won 34.69% of the votes in the elections. After that, on October 19, Babis went on vacation, instead of participating in negotiations on the formation of a future government. Later, on November 3, the ANO, SPD and Motorists parties signed an agreement to form a government coalition. The association was supported by 108 out of 200 deputies.
