The French Court of Auditors has increased the cost of the Louvre Nouvelle Renaissance renovation project from 700-800 million euros to 1.15 billion euros. This was reported on November 6 in the magazine L'Express.
"The court increased the cost to €1.15 billion compared to the €700-800 million announced by the entourage of the head of state," the material says.
According to the published information, in the period from 2018 to 2024, the museum management did not pay enough attention to the repair of buildings and technical structures, as well as the issue of safety.
It is noted that mainly increased investments are needed to ensure the long-term operation of the Louvre.
