The National Media Group (NMG) will release Russia's first original series in the genre of micro-drama, an exclusive project will be released on the Storis platform.
The microdrama genre is melodramatic stories divided into series lasting up to several minutes, shot specifically for viewing in vertical format on mobile devices.
Until recently, Russian users had access mainly to foreign microdrum platforms and limited catalogs of dubbed foreign TV series.
In the series "Pregnant by an oligarch," viewers will be shown the story of a girl who is faced with the betrayal of a loved one after she finds out that she is going to become a mother.
On the one hand, the project follows the laws of the genre: sharp plot twists, love experiences, intrigues and secrets. On the other hand, due to the local realities, recognizable characters and intonation, he will be close to the Russian audience. The series also provides subtitles in Russian as a mandatory format element.
The project will complement the library of short melodramas in Stories, where a selection of localized projects and TV series of the Domashny channel adapted to vertical viewing is already available. At the moment, there are 85 short series in vertical format in the Storys catalog.
The series will be available under the GVOD (Gamified Video on Demand) model. The first few episodes will be freely available, and to open the next episodes, the user will need to view an advertisement or open a series for virtual "coins".
