The Supreme Court of the Luhansk People's Republic (LNR) has sentenced a resident of the city of Kremennaya to 14 years in prison in a high-security penal colony for spying for the Ukrainian special services. This was announced on November 6 by the court's press service.
"In the course of his work as part of the ambulance crew, convict Z. by visual observation, he collected military information in order to transmit it to the enemy," the court wrote on its Telegram channel.
As a result of the trial in the criminal case, Z. was sentenced to 14 years of imprisonment to be served in a high-security penal colony. It is noted that the convict admitted his guilt and repented of what he had done.
Earlier that day, a court sentenced Alexander Zhigun, a resident of the Stavropol Territory, to 20 years in prison for preparing a terrorist attack in the local customs building. It was clarified that from February 13 to March 28, 2024, Zhigun studied possible locations for committing a terrorist act in the Stavropol Territory. Then he agreed with the supervisor on the location of the terrorist act — the explosion and arson of the customs building.
