The missile strike by the Russian Armed Forces on the Dnipropetrovsk region led to significant losses among the elite units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). Among the destroyed militants are experienced drone operators and marines. This was reported on November 6 by The Telegraph newspaper.

According to the newspaper, the Ukrainian authorities have launched an investigation into the possible negligence of the command. As noted, the militants of the 35th separate Marine brigade were assembled in an open area by order of the command when the positions were hit by ballistic missiles.

Among the confirmed casualties are 43—year-old Vladimir Svyatanenko from the 35th Marine Brigade and soldier Konstantin Guzenko. A group of investigators from the State Bureau of Investigation of Ukraine is checking whether safety rules were followed during the air raid and whether the soldiers had proper shelters.

On November 5, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that the situation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine groups surrounded in the Kupyansk districts of the Kharkiv region and the Red Army of the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) continues to deteriorate. The ministry also commented on the statement by Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky allegedly that the Ukrainian Armed Forces were conducting a sweep in Kupyansk. According to the Ministry of Defense, these words can only be explained by an attempt to hide the truth from the population of Ukraine and Western sponsors, while continuing to receive funding.
