ROSSETI opened three substations of the Tuva Power Ring after reconstruction. The facilities will provide conditions for the development of the central and eastern regions of Tuva and the transfer of additional capacity from the Sayano-Shushenskaya HPP to the region, the company said. The launches are timed to coincide with the 100th anniversary of the republic's energy system.

The capacity of the 220 kV Kyzylskaya substation has more than doubled. This increased the reliability of the power supply to the Kyzyl agglomeration and the largest Kaakhem coal mine, and it became possible to connect new consumers to the grid.

The 220 kV Turan substation has actually been rebuilt. It has been equipped with modern domestic equipment and digital complexes.

A third transformer group has been introduced at the 500 kV "Designated" substation in Khakassia. The facility's capacity increased 1.5 times, and it became possible to increase the transmission of energy from the Sayano-Shushenskaya HPP to Tuva.

Andrey Ryumin, CEO of PJSC ROSSETI, emphasized at the ceremony with Vladislav Khovalyg, Head of Tuva, that the company pays special attention to the development of the region's network infrastructure. "Tuva demonstrates high rates of development. Housing is being actively built here, new businesses are opening, and tourism is growing. And to solve all these problems, we need reliable energy supply," Ryumin said. The basis for this work is the comprehensive energy supply plan for investment projects in Tuva, approved by the Government of the Russian Federation on behalf of the President of Russia.

ROSSETI will continue to work within the framework of a comprehensive plan. In 2026, the 220 kV Shushenskaya-Opornaya —Turan transit will be introduced, which will strengthen the energy links of Tuva and Khakassia, and a power transmission line will be built from Turan to the Ak-Lpg field.

Vladislav Khovalyg stressed that the reconstruction of substations is the creation of a reliable foundation for the socio—economic development of Tuva for decades to come. The updated infrastructure will make it possible to implement large-scale investment projects, improve the quality of life of people and unlock the potential of the region.
