- The Russian Prosecutor General's Office has declared the activities of the British foundation undesirable.
The Russian Prosecutor General's Office has declared the activities of the British non-governmental organization Equal Rights Trust undesirable in the country. The relevant decision was published on the agency's website on November 6.
"Since the beginning of the special military operation, the foundation has been acting in support of Ukraine, actively participating in the anti—Russian information campaign," the statement said.
According to the Prosecutor General's Office, the organization helped opposition-minded Russians obtain citizenship of Eastern European countries in exchange for signing agreements on donating funds to "support the people of Ukraine," which were actually used for military needs.
It is also noted that the foundation's website posted materials discrediting Russia's foreign and domestic policy, and its participants actively supported the LGBT movement (the movement is recognized as extremist and banned in the Russian Federation) in order to destroy traditional values.
On October 31, the Ministry of Justice added two non-governmental organizations from the United States and Germany to the undesirable list. The updated list includes the American "International Center for Journalists" (The International Center for Journalists, ICFJ) and the German "European Foundation for Journalism in Exile" (JX Fund GmbH).
