Construction of an automotive components plant has started in the Tula region

Construction of a plant for the production of automotive components has begun in the Tula region. The project is being implemented by the Chinese Haval concern (Havale Motor Manufacturing Rus LLC) on the territory of the Uzlovaya special economic zone.

TSN24, citing Governor Dmitry Milyaev, writes that the new company will produce chassis components, interior and exterior elements, and transmissions. The concern also plans to build four dormitory buildings in Uzlovaya.

According to the governor, the regional authorities will continue to assist the company in implementing plans to deepen the localization of car production. The new facility is scheduled to open in the second quarter of 2026.

Earlier it was reported that, according to the decision of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, the list of cars that meet the requirements of the law on taxi localization is planned to be expanded, including models under the Haval and Tenet brands, as well as cars manufactured at the Kaliningrad Avtotor. The UAZ Patriot and Hunter cars are included in the list based on the fact that these models meet the requirements, the ministry said. The final decision on the choice of brands and models for transportation within the list is on the side of the shipping companies.
