UAC handed over a new batch of Su-34 fighter-bombers to the Russian Defense Ministry
The Russian Ministry of Defense has accepted a new batch of Su-34 fighter-bombers manufactured under the current state defense order. This was announced on November 6 in a press release published on the website of the United Aircraft Corporation (UAC), part of Rostec.
"As part of the implementation of the targets set by the Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation for the supply of highly demanded weapons and equipment to the troops, the crews of the Russian Aerospace Forces have accepted Su-34 aircraft," the statement said.
According to the published information, the fighter-bombers passed a set of necessary ground and flight factory tests, after which they were transferred to the customer.
It is specified that Su-34 fighters have the ability to hit ground (surface) and air targets of infrastructure facilities covered by air defense systems and located at significant distances from the airfield. In addition, the aircraft is used to perform aerial reconnaissance tasks.
Earlier, on November 1, the Russian Defense Ministry handed over a new batch of Su-35S multi-role fighters. It was clarified that the Su-35S is capable of effectively hitting targets, operating in all weather conditions. The fighters are equipped with modern equipment and long-range weapons.
