An explosion occurred at the CF Industries fertilizer plant in Mississippi, resulting in a leak of anhydrous ammonia. This was announced on November 5 by the governor of the state, Tate Reeves.

"The state of Mississippi is actively responding to the leakage of anhydrous ammonia at the CF Industries plant north of Yazoo City," he wrote on the social network X (ex. Twitter).

It is specified that the leak occurred due to an explosion. No deaths or injuries were reported.

The governor urged residents of nearby streets to evacuate.

An explosion and subsequent fire at the Navajo Refinery in Artesia, New Mexico, injured three people on November 1. It was clarified that the victims were evacuated outside the site for medical treatment.
