Commander of the Russian Armed Forces assault squad: Kupyansk will be liberated within a week.

The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation will liberate the settlement of Kupyansk within the next week. This was announced on November 6 by the commander of the assault detachment of the 121st regiment of the 68th Motorized Rifle Division of the Western Group of Forces with the call sign Lavrik.

In addition, he added that the Russian military managed to liberate 25 buildings in Kupyansk in a day and 130 more remained to be liberated. The commander also added that over the past day, the Russian Armed Forces destroyed five pickups with Russian militants on the outskirts of the city.

On November 5, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that the situation of groups of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), which are surrounded in the areas of Kupyansk, Kharkiv region, and Krasnoarmeysk, Donetsk People's Republic (DPR), continues to deteriorate. The ministry also commented on the statement by Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky allegedly that the Ukrainian Armed Forces were conducting a sweep in Kupyansk.
