Second Lieutenant Sotnikov helped to take control of the AFU stronghold

During a special military operation, Junior Lieutenant Evgeny Sotnikov successfully completed the task of capturing a strongpoint and destroying 10 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). This was announced on November 6 by the Russian Defense Ministry.

Despite fierce resistance, Sotnikov demonstrated high tactical skills by organizing effective interaction of his assault group. He divided his forces: one group attacked from the front, the other made a detour from the flank to strike at the rear. Fire support was aimed at suppressing enemy firing points and covering the advancing groups. Sotnikov personally coordinated the actions of his subordinates by radio. As a result of the assault, the enemy's stronghold was taken, and more than 10 enemy UAVs were destroyed.

After taking up positions, the second lieutenant organized the defense, setting up observation posts and firing points, and also ensured the safe evacuation of the wounded. When the enemy tried to counterattack using reserves, Sotnikov, thanks to timely reconnaissance using UAVs, revealed his plan. Skillfully controlling the fire, his unit repelled the attack and destroyed the enemy reinforcements. The professionalism and competent command of the second lieutenant allowed not only to capture important positions, but also to create conditions for the further advance of Russian troops in another sector.

The Russian Defense Ministry also noted the decisive actions of Guard Sergeant Pyotr Aikin, who discovered and destroyed the approaching drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Aikin, commanding an artillery crew, carried out the task of suppressing the enemy. Suddenly, he noticed an approaching attack drone. Without hesitation, risking his life, he opened fire with small arms. His well-aimed shots destroyed two enemy drones, which exploded in the air. After successfully repelling the attack, under the skilful guidance of Sergeant Aikin, the crew quickly changed position and continued to carry out the combat mission. Thanks to his professionalism, courage and bravery, it was possible to avoid losses and save the artillery piece.

On November 4, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that Junior Sergeant Vadim Volov, being the senior operator of the electronic warfare (EW) company, successfully completed the task of suppressing the UAVs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. It was clarified that he organized the covert delivery and installation of a radio suppression system. Despite the enemy artillery fire, under his leadership, the crew ensured the smooth operation of the equipment, which led to the neutralization of seven enemy FPV drones.
