On November 5, US President Donald Trump again declared his readiness to defend Christians in Nigeria and around the world, despite the denials of the African side.

"The United States cannot stand by when similar atrocities are taking place there and in many other countries. We are ready, willing and able to save our great Christian community around the world!" he wrote on his page on the Truth Social network.

Trump also declared Nigeria a country of "special concern."

On November 2, the US President announced the possibility of using Armed Forces in Nigeria, including a ground operation or airstrikes. According to the American leader, similar measures can be taken to stop the mass killings of Christians in the West African country.

Earlier, on November 1, Trump said that if the Nigerian government continues to allow the killing of Christians, the United States will immediately cease all assistance and cooperation with this country. He also added that "the United States may well invade this country with weapons in its hands," and instructed the Ministry of Defense to prepare for possible actions.
