As a result of an accident involving two cars in the Stavropol Territory, one person was killed and one injured. This was reported on November 5 by the regional State Traffic Inspectorate.

"The driver of the VAZ-21099 car, making a U—turn, was not convinced of his safety and collided with a Ford car that was moving in the opposite direction," the agency said in a Telegram channel message.

It is specified that the 46-year-old driver of the VAZ-21099 died on the spot before the ambulance arrived, and the 35-year-old Ford driver was taken to the hospital in Novoaleksandrovsk. The department added that specialists are working at the scene of the accident, checking the circumstances of the incident.

On November 5, the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia informed Izvestia that over the past weekend and holidays, 712 road accidents were recorded on Russian roads, in which 90 people were killed and 867 injured. 63 of the dead were drivers and passengers. 32 bus accidents were recorded, in which two people were killed, and 37 more road users, including four children, needed medical attention. 12 bus accidents were caused by traffic violations committed by their drivers.
