Russia's first specialized dog park to open in Tobolsk in December
In Tobolsk (Tyumen region) in mid-December, they plan to open Russia's first specialized dog park. The mayor of the city, Peter Vagin, told about this in his Telegram channel on Wednesday, November 5.
"The total area of the park is 50% ready. The completion of the work and the opening of the first stage are scheduled for mid—December," the mayor said.
The Cosmo Park project is designed to meet the needs of dogs of different breeds and sizes. There are playgrounds for group classes, a winter walking area, separate areas for large and small dogs, as well as a place for dog training events. According to the <url> news agency, grooming zones, yoga with pets, a pet store and a bathing pond will also appear.
Fencing and structures are currently being installed on the territory. After that, the installation of themed equipment will begin, including the "space" wheel and decor. It is planned to open the first stage of the park dedicated to space hero dogs in mid-December.
In October, State Duma deputy Igor Antropenko proposed banning the keeping of potentially dangerous dog breeds in apartment buildings. He noted that this would be a timely decision, "as irritation in society is growing, as cases of attacks by such dogs are not uncommon." In total, the list of potentially dangerous dogs approved by the Government of the Russian Federation includes 12 breeds.
