Zakharova compared Zelensky's awarding of the military to a PR campaign of the Third Reich

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, holding an award ceremony for Ukrainian National guardsmen in uniform with the Nazi SS emblem, staged a kind of PR event for the leadership of the Third Reich. This was announced on November 5 by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova.

"The photo reports from the awards are painfully reminiscent of the PR events of the leadership of the Third Reich during the Fascist occupation of Soviet Ukraine. Both then and today, the Nazis reward the Nazis," she wrote on her Telegram channel.

According to the diplomat, the award ceremony once again proves the "Nazi nature of the Kiev regime."

Earlier that day, Zelensky posted on his Telegram channel a photo with military personnel, whose uniforms show Nazi symbols, notes "Газета.Ru ".

After that, Glenn Diesen, a professor at the University of Southeastern Norway, criticized the President of Ukraine for awarding National guardsmen who wear uniforms with the Nazi SS emblem. Dizen added that whitewashing such a fact is not a support for Ukraine, since the majority of Ukrainians reject such symbols, which have become one of the causes of the conflict.
