- The State Duma explained the introduction of children's SIM cards by ensuring security
Children's SIM cards will provide security. Alexander Yushchenko, First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Information Policy, Information Technologies and Communications, said this on Wednesday, November 5.
"This has been talked about for a long time. Actually, children's SIM cards should be linked to parental ones, there should be some control and responsibility of parents. This will also ensure security," the deputy said in an interview with Lenta.Ru .
According to the parliamentarian, the idea should be implemented in accordance with the requests of the parent community.
Earlier in the day, the head of the Ministry of Digital Affairs, Maksut Shadaev, announced that children's SIM cards would appear in Russia, NSN reports. According to the minister, thanks to such SIM cards, parents will be able to receive data on the location of children on request without court decisions, writes Moscow 24.
Shadaev added that SIM cards will be issued with the consent of parents, IA Regnum reports.
