The winners of the "Big Change" competition were schoolchildren from Moscow.
Moscow schoolchildren have won the All-Russian competition "Big Change", which took place from November 1 to November 5 at the Artek International Children's Center, said the mayor of the capital, Sergei Sobyanin. 25 students from grades 8-10 became the best, 86 Muscovites received prize-winning diplomas.
According to the results of the competition, the team from Moscow was among the best, Sobyanin noted in his channel in MAX. 111 finalists represented the capital at Artek. "Congratulations to the guys with such an excellent result!" wrote the mayor of the capital. He wished the participants "that further study would bring pleasure, curiosity and pride in their knowledge."
The finalists of the competition will receive additional points to their portfolio of achievements when applying to universities and up to a million rubles for education and start-ups. Their teacher-mentors will also receive cash prizes and the opportunity to complete an educational program, the mayor noted.
To qualify for the finals, the students had to complete three online stages and an in-person semi-final. Many tasks were dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory and dedicated to the memory of generations.
In August, 23 students from grades 5-7 in the capital's schools also won the Big Change. Then 700 finalists, including 41 representatives of the capital, came to Artek for the final stage of the competition. All participants from Moscow were among the winners of the competition.
The country's children's competition "Big Change" has been held since 2020. During this time, millions of schoolchildren and college students in Russia have become its participants.
