South Korean intelligence has officially denied local media reports about providing parliamentarians with data on the health status of North Korean leader Kim Jong-un. The corresponding statement was made by the country's intelligence service on November 5.

Earlier, the Yonhap news agency, citing MP Park Song-won, spread information that South Korean intelligence was allegedly able to measure Kim Jong-un's pulse and did not observe serious health problems with the Korean leader. At the same time, as stated by the publication, his pulse is allegedly 80 beats per minute. The reports also claimed to reduce the "high probability" of hypertension in the leader of the DPRK.

"We did not report any heart rate or hypertension," RIA Novosti quoted the agency as saying.

This is not the first time that Kim Jong-un's health has been the subject of speculation in the foreign media. In the spring of 2020, his absence from the commemoration ceremony of Kim Il Sung caused a wave of rumors about serious health problems. However, North Korean state media subsequently reported on Kim Jong-un's activism, refuting these assumptions.

On October 10, the personal physician of US President Donald Trump announced that the head of the White House remains in excellent health, he has strong cardiovascular, pulmonary and neurological systems. Later, a document was published with the conclusion of a full examination of Trump. In the report, the personal physician of the American president noted that according to medical parameters, his cardiovascular system corresponds to the human condition, 14 years younger than his real age.
