The victim in the Abakan cinema told about burning and pain in her eyes
Shortly after watching the film at the cinema in Abakan, a whole stream of victims poured into the republican hospital: the audience began to complain en masse about painful symptoms that required emergency medical care. Details of the incident were reported to Izvestia by a local resident Marina.
"There were pains in the eyes, tearing, reaction to light. A six-year-old child has the same symptoms as me. Everything burns, everything hurts, my eyes are watering. We went to the hospital urgently. There are so many people coming and going. It's all from this session," she said.
Marina and her son were diagnosed with corneal burns. The woman intends to file a lawsuit.
On that day, the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Khakassia reported that 32 people, including 20 children, complained of eye problems at the hospital after a film screening. According to the Izvestia source, a total of 33 people were injured. Everyone has received the necessary medical care. According to the doctors, the patients' condition is satisfactory and will not have serious health consequences. A criminal case was opened into the incident. Doctors diagnosed the victims with photophthalmia after watching a movie in Abakan, a source told Izvestia.
