Singer and composer Alexey Poddubny (Django) called for banning matting on stage. According to him, for many years the West has been conducting destructive work against young people through representatives of show business. The opinion has been formed that swearing during a performance is fashionable. This opinion was expressed by the performer in the new issue of the podcast "Lime".

"At a festival where tens of thousands of people gather, suddenly a sixteen-year-old girl swears. She's talented, and she's been noticed by local producers. And these grown-up uncles write obscene lyrics to her, make fashionable arrangements, set up movements, she goes out and swears obscenities, because "it's so fashionable!". The West was working systematically, but we were not doing any systematic work. And now, in our culture, we need to take some steps to purify ourselves internally," the artist believes.

He called on the authorities to pay attention to this, because obscene language is "a poison that constantly pours into the hearts and souls of young people." At the same time, the singer noted that the mat on stage has nothing to do with creative freedom.

"What is this? Freedom? Why such freedom? We need to work seriously with culture. Culture and education are what should displace this cancerous tumor. Darkness cannot be overcome by darkness, darkness is overcome by light. This light is our education and culture," Poddubny said.

There is no need to be afraid that after the ban, performers who have swearing or other destructive material in their repertoire will disappear from the stage, the podcast guest is sure. In his opinion, what is needed is not blind censorship, but subtle, targeted work with performers.

"You can replace the mat with something else, stop swearing, singing about drugs, and everything will be fine," Poddubny believes.
