RSA recorded a record for registration of road accidents on the European protocol in October

Electronic services for registration of road accidents under the European protocol in Russia set new records in October this year. For the first time, the number of photo fixes exceeded the 32 thousand mark, and the number of accident notifications compiled using mobile applications exceeded 6 thousand. The press service of the Russian Union of Motor Insurers (RSA) announced this in its Telegram channel on November 5.

So, in October of this year, car owners performed 32.7 thousand road accident photos, which is 10.9% more than in September, and in 10 months 268 thousand took advantage of this opportunity. times (an increase of almost 1.5 times year-on-year).

The number of accident notifications increased by 14.3% last month compared to September and reached 6.8 thousand. In January – October 2025, the number of notifications increased by 69%, to 53.9 thousand (an increase of almost 1.7 times).

In the summer of this year, the law on raising the limit of payments under the European protocol came into force. If the accident was registered without the participation of traffic inspectors and the accident notification recorded the absence of disagreement, while photo-fixing was done using special mobile applications, then the CTP payment limit in this case is 400 thousand rubles. If the participants in the accident have disagreements and the accident data has been recorded, then the payment limit is 200 thousand rubles.

The State Duma proposes to increase the damage limit for the CTP protocol to 300 thousand rubles.

On October 17, it was reported that a bill would be submitted to the State Duma to increase the maximum payment for CTP in case of registration of an accident under the European protocol from 200 thousand to 300 thousand rubles.
