The first joint exercises of Russia and Sri Lanka "Wolverine Trail-2025" began on the territory of the Socialist republic. This was announced on November 5 by the Russian Defense Ministry.
"The first joint Russian-Sri Lankan exercises are taking place on the territory of the Ground Forces training center in the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka," the ministry said.
It is noted that military personnel of the Eastern Military District are participating from the Russian side, and the exercises are led by Major General Andrei Kozlov, from the Sri Lankan side - Major General Priyanta Nivaratne.
Joint exercises of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) were held from October 14 to 19. "Indestructible Brotherhood – 2025" in Tajikistan. It was noted that military personnel from Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Russia will take part in the exercises.
