New car sales in Russia increased in all segments over the week

Sales of new vehicles in Russia last week demonstrated positive dynamics and proved to be very successful. This was reported on November 5 by the analytical agency Autostat.

Thus, according to the results of the 44th week (from October 27 to November 2) of this year, 36.6 thousand new passenger cars were sold in the Russian Federation, which is 3.5% more than in the 43rd week. At the same time, compared to the same period last year, sales of passenger cars increased by 1.2%.

As for other market segments, sales of light commercial vehicles (LCVs) increased by 8.2%, to 1,963 units; medium—duty trucks (MCVs) — by 11.7%, to 296 units; large-capacity (HCVs) - by 17.6%, to 1,198 units; and buses — by 31.8%, to 410 units. However, as analysts noted, compared to the same period last year, all segments of commercial vehicles showed negative dynamics.

Earlier, on November 1, it was reported that by the end of October this year, 26 companies changed prices for new cars in Russia. In the first half of the month, 12 companies rewrote the price lists, and in the second - 14 more. At the same time, three brands — Haval, Jaecoo and Moskvich — adjusted prices twice a month.

On October 31, it became known that over the past five years, new cars in Russia have almost doubled in price. So, if at the beginning of 2021 the weighted average price of a passenger car was 1.8 million rubles, then by September 2025 it had increased to 3.34 million rubles.
