Egg production will increase several times in the Moscow region

Egg production is planned to increase several times by 2030 in the Moscow region. Such goals will be achieved through the launch of large-scale production facilities.

According to the online publication Podmoskovye Segodnya, we are talking about the production of 800 million eggs per year. For comparison, 145 million eggs were produced in the region in 2021.

Currently, there are 13 poultry farms operating in the Moscow region, eight of which produce hatching and food eggs. In the coming years, construction of the Belyanka LLC complex is planned in Kashira, which will produce up to 550 million eggs per year. In addition, an egg processing plant of Kaya-Trade LLC will be built, its capacity will be 500 thousand liters of melange, 300 thousand packages of processed eggs and 250 tons of boiled eggs per year.

It is also planned to increase crop production in the region by 2030. Grain production will reach 650 thousand tons, potatoes and vegetables — 650 and 570 thousand tons, respectively.
