The Italian Nova news agency terminated an employment contract with reporter Gabriel Nunziati after he asked a question to a representative of the European Commission about possible Israeli reparations for the Gaza Strip. This was announced on November 4 by the portal Fanpage.it .

The incident occurred at a press conference on October 13, when a journalist asked whether Israel should pay compensation for the reconstruction of Gaza if Brussels demands similar reparations from Russia for Ukraine.

EC representative Paula Pinho declined to comment on this issue during a briefing.

"About ten days later, the journalist was fired," the portal writes.
